I have been working with bodies and movement for over twenty years as a professional Ballet dancer with international companies in Australia, Israel and Germany.
I returned to the UK to study for a Diploma from the Royal Academy of Dance to teach in three of London’s largest vocational schools. During my dance career I was introduced to Pilates to help improve technique and performance and was impressed with the results – both for myself and for other dancers who were recovering from injuries.
I made a career change to expand my knowledge and qualified as a Physiotherapist, specialising in the use of Pilates for rehabilitation. I was awarded a BSc. (Hon) from St Georges University, London in 2007.
I am also a fully qualified Pilates Instructor with “Polestar” on equipment – reformer, trapeze, chair and barrel as well as mat work.
Iyengar Yoga has also been a passion throughout my life and I am a certified Iyengar yoga teacher.
I work with:
I wanted to bring together the best from three most wonderful disciplines –
Pilates, Yoga and Ballet – I have been lucky enough to have worked with and developed for most of my life.
Bringing them together to help people with injuries, posture problems or simply wanting to stay fit and healthy. I studied under some inspiring and wonderful teachers and feel a it is my duty to share the knowledge and the benefits by teaching others how to use their bodies to develop and maintain improved physical and, as a welcome side-effect, mental wellbeing.
